Privacy Policy

Overview

UK Money Tools is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

The short version: our calculators run entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or transmit any of the financial figures you enter. No account is required to use any tool on this site.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information directly. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any financial data.

When you visit the site, basic technical data may be collected automatically by the services described below (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit). This data is processed by third-party services, not stored by us directly.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Advertising (Google AdSense). We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and which calculators are most used. All data is aggregated and anonymous. GA4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) that persist for up to 2 years. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the display of advertisements but will not affect the functionality of the calculators.

Google AdSense and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your interests. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to sites within the Google Display Network.

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, visit How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics 4. As described above. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts. We load fonts from Google's servers. Google may collect your IP address as part of this request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense. As described above.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information directly, most of these rights apply to the third-party services above. You can contact those services directly or use their privacy dashboards to exercise your rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
